“Mama Lucy is really overwhelmed with trying to do administrative stuff for the school and run her business. They need volunteers to do the following:

Build a web site
Develop a Newsletter
Help with budget planning and administrative stuff.

Eventually they are planning to build classrooms, so construction would be in the future.”

“Second Chance is a great opportunity for me to use my enthusiasm for learning.....
The children need English books...but primary school worksheets will be a great help...12 copies each, pens, and visual aids, (the pics of my family and area were great). Geography, Math, and any simple books that could be read aloud ( i.e. “Go Dog Go ...while very simple grammar and vocabulary teaches opposites, adjectives, and usage).

The kids who are 13-16 are only at a first level English program but their skills are strong in repetition and basic grammar.....they will swallow whole any news on the world music scene....Pop culture magazines would be a good source of reading material.”
